Pipeline a?r na?got som det talas mycket om inom VFX produktion. Studien underso?ker arbetsmetoderna hos olika VFX fo?retag i England och Sverige. Fra?gor om hur fo?retagen arbetar i sin pipeline, vad en pipeline a?r samt vilka mjukvaror de va?ljer att arbeta med fo?r att fa? fram sina resultat sta?lls.

In this thesis I will propose and test a pipeline for creating in-game animations using motion capture technology, with the aim to export to a 3D game engine, such as UDK or similar. Even though there are already established pipelines for creating in-game animations in the game industry, they are not of public knowledge and dissemination of information is hindered by the severe NDA (non-disclosure agreements) imposed on the studios and artists. I will therefore use my experience with game production and as a student, to research and propose an optimal pipeline for developing in-game animation that may be used by other students, researchers and independent game developers. The methodology used to test the pipeline will be a case study based on the student project Synergy, which I am developing with other third year students also attending the Game design Education at Gotland University..

Denna rapport undersöker hur en grafiker kan förstå, analysera och skapa nyagrafikstilar. Hur grafikstilar kan påverka produktionen, samt hur man kanstandardisera en grafik pipeline för att producera liknande material. En analys av ett par populära grafikstilar inom dataspelsgrafik utfördes för att hitta hur dessa stilar kom till och att jämföra likheter och fördelar emellan de olika stilarna. Ett experiment utfördes för att hitta moment att förbättra i en grafisk pipeline.Resultat pekar på att olika grafikstilar har en påverkan på utvecklingstid och kostnader, samt mottagande beroende på kultur och målgrupp. Ett extra fokus på planering av grafikstil och dess pipeline i produktionen rekommenderas, för att både underlätta för grafikerns arbete och att dra ner på utvecklingskostnaderna..

Det här arbetet har vidareutvecklat spelmotorn Nebula 3 genom att implementera ett sätt att inkludera grafiska användargränssnitt i spel skapade med motorn, samt en nästan färdig ny pipeline för att skapa animerade karaktärer för motorn. Det grafiska användargränssnittet implementerades med ett tredjepartsbibliotek kallat CEGUI. Den nya pipelinen går ut på att man exporterar en FBX-fil med all grafisk data som sedan läses in och konverteras till Nebula 3s format. Inläsningen sker med hjälp av Autodesks FBX SDK. Filerna som Nebula 3 behöver är en fil med animationsinformation, en fil med skin-information samt en fil som knyter ihop dessa.

This diverse leadership representation makes North Sweden a very good example on a so called Quango, organisations that stand under simultaneous influence from both public and private sectors. These Quangos opens up new possibilities to solve public problems, but they also bring together two different working models which is not always easy to handle for a Quango. The European Union has faced lots of criticisms over the last couple of years when it comes to how refugees are treated in Europe. The Lisbon Treaty states in Article 2 that the European Union is founded on respect for human freedom, dignity and equality. Values such as democracy, rule of law, respect for human rights and that the rights of persons belonging to minorities should be respected are also something that the Union should be based on. How is it then that the Roma people, which are Europe's largest minority, are being persecuted all over Europe, that they get deported and have their camps destroyed? Why are refugees from North Africa being sent back before they even have a chance to seek asylum?  In this essay I have examined how the EU are treating refugees and tried to distinguish if there are any differences in how they treat internal and external refugees.

The genetic relationship between three Swedish horse breeds was investigated using microsatellite data from 144 loci in 30 horses.
